James J. F. Forest, Ph.D., is an associate professor at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, and a senior fellow at the U.S. Joint Special Operations University. He is the former Director of Terrorism Studies at the U.S. Military Academy and has taught courses on terrorism, counterterrorism and weapons of mass destruction for a broad range of civilian, law enforcement and military audiences in several countries.
